I started Love2bMindful because I felt a calling to share a space that brings people together to spread positivity in the world. Corny as it sounds, it’s as simple as that. Being a mom of 4 and a nurse for 20 years allowed me to nurture others, which I love. However, over time, I lost my balance. Most of the time I gave too much and sometimes for the wrong reasons. There are times we must let life unfold and not interfere when there is suffering. There are also times to help others without expectations or need for recognition. This is real love. I have experienced some incredible failures and challenges in life. Many of my darkest moments left me feeling utterly lost and depressed. I am grateful that I learned meditation and mindfulness. It opened me to the reality that most, if not all, of my suffering is in my mind and not necessary. I became more conscious and had significant, positive shifts. I became aware that when I resist difficult life events and situations, it creates more pain. Although suffering is a part of the human condition, it’s how we deal with it that makes the difference between stagnation or growth and misery or contentment. I’m not on a “journey seeking happiness”. I’m seeking truth. Sometimes that’s painful. I’m good with that. This website is a place to be vulnerable, have fun, learn, find personal insight and become aware of and accept the impermanence in life. As we let go of judgements, attachments and expectations we find liberation, joy and serenity. That’s a good thing for the world. Welcome!!
